Trauma Therapy & Counselling
I offer individual and family therapy.
I believe in the transformative power of long-term therapy. This process involves a significant commitment of time and effort from both the therapist and the client, and provides the opportunity for connection and healing, through accessing our deepest sources of pain, fears, hopes and dreams.
My goal is to create a place where clients can feel safe and brave (credit to my supervisor Emma Diamond), through offering presence, non-judgment, empathy, compassion and unconditional positive regard to all the people I work with. This commitment can look different for everyone, but ideally the client will commit to a regular time and day once a week, fortnight or month, for an extended period of at least 3 months.
When working with children and adolescents I believe in having regular engagement and involvement with parents and caregivers to ensure the best results for the client and their whole family, while maintaining respect and safety for all involved.
